Botswana and Zambia

This blog is a Photographic record of a trip to Africa in March/April 2012 to observe Wildlife with a special emphasis on Birdlife. Initially we were based at Livingston, Zambia before entering the Chobe National Park in Northern Botswana and finalising our journey at Moremi Crossing in the Okovango Delta.

African Jacana

The ubiquitous African Jacana is a very common resident and local nomad at wetlands with floating vegetation especially water lilies. Also trivially named 'Jesus Bird' or 'Lilly Hopper' because of its ability to walk on the floating vegetation.
